well it seems with the missing HD also came a missing ATA ribbon....seems the HD doesnt like being added to the other ATA chain with the CD-rom.
so now my poor c600 is without a ATA ribbon or a scsi ribbon. I also hooked up a SCSI 9gb into the PCI/SCSI card < internal > with the ribbon from my C600. There seems to be a problem recognizing it. the SYS profiler says there is a unknown PCI card type in slot J10 < thats where the scsi card is > and doesnt show anything past it < ie a HD > j10 shows the name as pci9004,7850 j11 is empty j12 shows <2> slots ?? one is a 3dfx Voodoo5 < which is working fine > the other shows 3dfx voodoo5 , slave 1 * things working fine, I just thought this odd * btw I just skipped over installing os8.6 and just went straite to 9.0.4 -> 9.1 -> 9.2.1 unless someone knows of a reason I should go to 9.2.2 I think Ill stay with current OS 9.2.1 < btw never used 9.x highest ever went was 8.6 on my 9600 > Thanks for all the input, Ralph -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
