Well, as the saying goes, if it's not broke, don't fix it, or don't mess 
with a running system.
Hypercard is ois a standalone database program you can easily throw out 
if you don't use. No harm done.
OTOH, a clean install wil not mess up anything, but will allow you to 
test the update program without any third party extensions.
