The thing to do Ron, is to move all the stuff (weird old prefs and
whatever) that you don't think you need out of the preference folder, etc.

Put it in a "CleanUp" folder, or something, on your desktop (you might want
create subfolders with names similar to what you remove the things from, in
order to keep track of where they came from).

Then restart and use your computer as usual for a couple of weeks. If you
don't miss any of the stuff byt then, happily trash it.

If you don't feel comfortable by trashing it all by then, burn it to a CD
(or back it up some other way).

Sorry, I don't know anything about the ASU, I don't have it installed, and
I'm running 9.1.
