Ron: Another sugestion would mbe to try "Spring Cleaning". It has an "orphaned prefs" function which would at least allow you to get rid of the old prefs which are no longer needed. The only other suggestion I have is to do a clean install of OS 9 followed by manually moving extensions from your old system folder to your new ons a few at a time and testing for problems. It is a real time-burner, though - I've done it with OS 8.6 seevral times.
