Dear Kathi:

I love reading posts from people who "hear" that OS X is (fill in the 
blank) and have NEVER used it!
Yes, OS X would probably suck big time on your G3 233 but if you'd 
consider using a MODERN Macintosh, I think you'd be very pleased with 
the performance.  But, since you asked, I have a G4 867 and a G4 Dual 1 
gig and yes, OS 9 runs just fine on them.
Also, considering the sheer power of the MODERN Macs, I can't imagine 
what type of "graphic arts" you do on that little G3 233.  Sorry for the 
tone of this but you should wake up and smell the coffee.
