Rude: Yes, it was a bit rude but when I see people posting regarding
what they've "heard" about OS X without actually using it, I get annoyed
and sometimes I go overboard......as in this case. Kathi, if you're
reading this, please accept my apology.
Unprofessional: Well, I'm an RN, so actually per the standard of my
profession, I was simply trying to educate. If a new graduate comes to
work for me and wants to monitor a critical patient by simply using her
blood pressure cuff and standing at the bedside to monitor the patient
(with a worried expression on her face), I'd suggest transferring the
patient to the ICU or at least to connect the patient to a cardiac
monitor and start some fluids. You could compare the first approach to
a pre-G3 and the latter approach to a G4....what would give the best
outcome?
Bordering on a personal attack: Sometimes we need to be confronted with
the truth before we act. My choice of words "was" harsh....but I did
supply her with the needed information.
Equipment you claim to have: My children are grown and
self-supporting. My wife and I both have good jobs and we can afford a
few luxuries. I also contribute to charity on a regular basis.
Sorry if I wounded everybody's feelings by stating the facts and I'll
sure try to be a bit more sensitive in my future posts.
