You know Tim, not everybody is like you living out on the edge of bleeding, freaking technology that leaves the artists at Pixar going 'like wow, who is that dude, some kind of god?' Some people just do some simple photo manipulations, a little drawing of logos and set up web sites for some people with a little flash and some java, maybe doing some newsletters with some graphs in them and getting paid for it. They have been doing it every day and for them to just switch systems and programs causes them to lose a few days of time here and there, and have trouble interfacing with their print houses that are using the same stuff that they do for the last few years. All of that is done satisfactorily with a little beige G3 and that is why, at $300 a pop, people like MacResQ still are able to sell lots of used ones. So you could have just answered Kathi and said, yes the modern macs will run 9.2 only and you can install OS X and fiddle with it later when you have the time. > >On Friday, August 16, 2002, at 08:09 PM, Kathi A.
