It wasn't so much advice, as a description of what seemed to make
my computer boot correctly. I read about Open Firmware at a NetBSD
web site, http://www.netbsd.org/Ports/macppc/faq.html#ofw and
http://www.netbsd.org/Ports/macppc/SystemDisk-tutorial/
and sites linked to by those pages.
