OK, I've Zapped the PRAM 10 times, and it did speed up on restarts etc, but when I powered down again, the same problem. Also, it was no faster than when I zapped the PRAM once (mentioned in my original post).
Tried the RAM trick, no avail either. There seems to be confusion as to whether this works at all on Beige G3's, or if it works reliably. Many seem to think it is only for new-world macs. Anyone know the truth? So, there is nothing else I can do, just grin and bear it? Oh, before I forget (again!), does anyone elses monitor ping on and off 2 times before starting? Thanks for your help so far, Matt __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
