Good Morning All:

        My own solution is a compromise. I'm running a Stock G3 - 300, OS
9.2.1, 384 RAM.
OS 9 suits my needs, is rock-solid and since I can't afford a new computer,
scanner, and printer, etc., everything is O.K. for now.
I do have OS X partitioned on a 20 gig Seagate HD just to tinker
with, since X is the way of the world now. It runs fine although I would not
ask a lot of it on this machine.
Perhaps Paul might try X in this way, hitting it in stages.

                                    Regards, Dean
