That is true, but a feature that almost no one needs. How many people creep
into your workspace to read your *sensitive* documents??

That was probably years ago.

You have got to be kidding?!?!? Zips are so fragile that dropping them 1
foot can render them unusable. CD's are FAR more durable. Open a Zip disk
up. It's a freaking floppy. That's it. A floppy.

That doesn't mean that it is the most intelligent or efficient means of
backing data up. It just means that you got them years ago and want to
continue to use them. That's all.

I understand your point here, but you are comparing writing a 650mb CDRW to
transferring 100 mb to a zip. I don't see how that is relevant. 650/100??

Lol. Big ideas??? I was just stating what was the most efficient. I
recently had a client stop using Zip Media and switched to a Que 40x Burner.
He paid for the burner in the first week of use. He does work that requires
he send the data out to a lab and they were much happier with the decision
since only one of the Mac's at the lab had a Zip, but all have CD drives.
I understand that people will stick with what they know in this world when
it comes to computers and data backup especially. Whether it is right or
wrong. People cling to things. Some because they are afraid of
change..others because they can't see that the immediate cost will be made
back in very little time...they lack the foresight to see that (I am not
referring to you personally).
