I have a B&W with a G4 that does the same thing. I don't believe it's
bad memory. I've done all manor of swapping in and out, run memory
testing for 10 hours with no errors. In fact, never any errors in OS 9.
My events almost always come when running Internet Explorer or Netscape
(and perhaps Toast) and always involve mouse movement. I believe it
involves some sort of I/O buffer or cache memory overrun or timing
issue (or, maybe, power management). But, how to determine and what to
do about it? The error doesn't cause a kernel panic and there are no
resulting logs.

Which cache management software are you both using? Which G4 ZIF?
