I suspect it has to do with the base IO drivers that USB, ADB, etc, all work off of. This is reportedly undated in 10.1.3, which is due out next month.
I also have an OWC ZIF. Where do they recommend Softlogix cache control? I've never heard of them. I'm using PowerLogix Cache Control X 1.2.
