I have a beige G3DT/533/rev A rom running 10.2.1. I began to experience
lockups when I installed a Macally firewire card that I got from OWC. Took
me a while to track down since I installed several upgrades at once, but it
ran perfectly without the card. OWC replaced the card, but I still got
lockups, albeit less frequently, with the new card. I have a 16meg ATI Rage
card in one of the other PCI slots and a USB card in the other and it seems
to me that the lockups would usually occur when doing something graphics
oriented or otherwise accessing something on the PCI bus so it sounded like
a timing type issue. I decided that I could live without the firewire card
and pulled it and things have been fine since.

Anyway, just another place too look for your problem. Otherwise, OSX has
run like a dream.
