You have plenty of memory. Rather than wasting time fixing problems on 
an old OS, go straight to OS 9 (9.1 upgrade too). It will have Explorer 
7 netscape built-in, but you can download for free the latest versions 
from Download.com.
I'm against the Zip; it's too slow and not a good substitute for a hard 
drive or simply a CD writer.
These items are reasonably priced (I know, I sell them) and should give 
you no hassles.
