More likely, it's a timing thing. That's a common explanation for why OS X is fussier about memory, so it probably true of cache, as well.

I just haven't seen the problems I saw earlier. I have another observation on 10 which I'll go into in another message with a new subject. Has to do with DV transfer from the camera.
