Since I wrote I've tried again and decided that Rempel's program is working oK
on my machine so I should stop complaining.  I just haven't seen the problems I
saw earlier.

I have another observation on 10 which I'll go into in another message with a
new subject.  Has to do with DV transfer from the camera.  Deffinitely works
better for me in 9.
