Hi Kathi.

Sounds a whole lot like the Global Village logo, except that their triangle
forms a 90-degree angle over the globe, not a 45-degree one (check
www.globalvillage.com for a picture of the logo). Check to see if you've got
any of their extensions of panels installed (look also for "Powerport" or
"Teleport" and any fax-related stuff). If you don't use a GV modem, you
should be able to uninstall any software you find, and if you do use one,
there should be a way to disable the blinking icon in the prefs.
If you can't find any GV software (or the icon is not the same), and you own
Conflict Catcher, then you know what to do. If not, you can download a demo
