I'm not sure the problem is software-related anymore, as I cannot even boot from a CD, let alone the hard drives (I tried both my master and slave drives, and chances are very slim that both drives would have software problems or go bad at the same time). Every time I start the computer, I get a black screen followed by the gray screen with the question mark floppy very much later. Pressing any keys in any combination didn't help.
