That is a SCSI scanner, correct? Are you using it under OS X? I have
a 1220s, and can't get my Rev A G3 (DT 266) to see it properly under
X (it works fine under OS 9.) I have tried it with both the built-in
SCSI port, and the Adaptec 2930 card I'm using. When I have checked
the System Profile, the scanner shows up 8 times, as SCSI ID 4 LUN 0,
SCSI 4 LUN 1, SCSI 4 LUN 2, etc, right up to SCSI 4 LUN 7. I have
tried different combinations of SCSI IDs and termination (I used an
external SCSI term block). The built-in SCSI and the Adaptec card are
both fine with my LaCie CD-RW under OS X.

I have always been somewhat suspicious of the internal SCSI Zip drive
in my machine. It didn't play nice with an external SCSI HD under
either OS 8 or 9 - if the HD was attached I could read Zips, but not
write to or erase them: instant lock-up. Removing the HD made the Zip
work OK. Might the Zip be causing problems here? Although it would be
on a different SCSI chain from the scanner when that is connected to
the Adaptec card, and it doesn't seem to affect the LaCie CD-RW
attached to either SCSI port.
