You have several choices, but unless you already have a network hub/switch, you won't be able to use the base station. I recommend buying a cheap hub or switch. I just purchased one from buy.com for $4 after rebate. See dealmac.com for that great deal. After you get the switch/hub, you have a couple of choices. If the computers are close together, you can wire them together via the hub/switch. If that is not possible, you'll have to purchase an Airport card ($70 or less if you hunt around) for the iMac. Then you'll hook the base station to the hub/switch. This is all pretty confusing but I can sketch it out for you if you like.
