Someone might have an internal jaz or zip drive using USB, something like that, or possibly an internal firewire harddrive? Probably few who have these things though. I just use the (external) firewire for an iPod. A lot of digital cameras use them, esp video.

You could start Apple System Profiler (should be in a Utilities folder) and go to "Devices and Volumes" tab and the firewire/usb device should show up there.
