Sounds a bit like the problems I've been encountering trying to get a G3
AIO to play DVDs. At first I thought the drive was all i needed... Then
I discovered there isn't a software DVD decoder that will work on the
beige G3 (right?). So I guess I my options for a hardware decoder are:

1. Install a new PCI video card w/ DVD support and run interal monitor
off of it. Requires making a cable and has some other drawbacks (there
is a procedure on the web but I forget the link)

2. Wired4DVD PCI card - would require me to make cables to route internal
video off the AIO A/V card (Is this a specific AIO version???) out
through the Wired card then back to the internal monitor. Seems like
alot of work and wastes a PCI slot.

3. DVD-A/V Card - Replace the current A/V card in the AIO with this
card. Assuming there is no AIO internal video connector on it, connect
monitor to external motherboard video like mod described in #1. Sounds
like I'd need a new motherboard and possibly DVD-drive to make this
work. Apple claims this card can capture 640x480 at 30 fps. If so a
faster ATA card hooked to a fast, second hard drive in the floppy bay
would be cool for capture.

4. Hmmm wonder if that DVD-decoder from the B&W G3 would fit in the DAV
connector on the A/V card...both 60-pin...but not worth buying one off
Ebay based on that similarity alone. Anyone wanna send me a freebie??
