My coworkers have the same problem when I email them files. If I save to a disk, they can open them. But when I email a file, it gets sent in two pieces. Only one of the pieces actually works. It also seems to make a difference how they have their PCs configured to handle attachments because some have no problems opening my documents.
I was wondering if OS X Mail does encoding differently. IT did say apple-double but anything should decode that, it's not really apple-specific anymore. BUT I hadn't messed with this yet, as I have sent her many many jpegs that open fine. I reasoned that if it was a MIME-encoding issue, those should have issues as well.
That is still an assumption, I'll be happy when I can test more.
