Hi Len- thanks for helping. The card says it is compatible w USB 1.1 - that is all I was trying to get out of it. But it won't recognize a digital camera or a CF card reader. The card is a cheapo PPA Inc "USB2.0/Firewire Combo" card bought at Fry's for $39. It says "Mac-compatible" on the box (but not at their website) and did not come with any drivers for Mac. If the Apple USB extensions installed with 9.2.1 (v1.5.5) only support USB 1.0 and not USB 1.1, perhaps you have already discovered my problem?
