A flashed PC Radeon essentially becomes a mac Radeon so any updated
roms or drivers should work with the card. The hard disk sleep problem
affected the retail mac Radeon 7000 as well.

Could well be - the other theory I've heard is that half the rom is
locked but can be unlocked by applying a small voltage to one of the
pins. Confusion reigns as the flasher will still extract a 128k pc rom
from the alleged 64k chip and apparently write it back to the chip.
