Is this the Epson 740 of which you speak? We use an Epson 740 at home 
on a USB "network." The 740 has USB, parallel, and Apple serial ports. 
Works great in OS X. Has basic drivers loaded for it. However, there 
does not seem to be any utilities for it like in OS 9 for aligning the 
print head and cleaning them...
