Not sure if you can do this. I've never used a Mac with the audio card in it like yours. If you can get the Sound control panel to "look" at the card for the incoming signal (Microphone setting?) maybe it will work.

I do some limited audio injineering as well. However, I use OS X and a Griffin iMic. Wonder piece of machinery.
