Yes indeed, Sonnet lowered the bus speed from 100MHz to 66MHz for the 1GHz
G4 ZIF to run reliably in a B&W G3. The 800MHz G4 seems to run @ 100MHz bus
BTW.

FYI: this is from a report @ xlr8yourmac (1GHz in B&W G3):
"When I opened QuarkXpress and Illustrator I was quite dissatisfied because
it took 3 times as long as with the previous G4-500 card. After that I
consulted the xlr8yourmac.com site and I found out that the bus speed is
reduced to 66 MHz. I didn't know that and it wasn't written anywhere."

Also there seems to be a problem with the firmware if you already had a G4
ZIF in your B&W, especially an XLR8 G4, and try to install this new Sonnet
G4 1GHz ZIF:
