I recently bought an HP 5850. It has OS X and OS 9 drivers. Interfaces are USB, 10/100BaseT and 802.11b (wireless). I bought it because of the network interface, a rare item these days.
Printouts are very nice. I've installed the drivers in OS X.2.8, 9.1 and (Cough) Win98. It prints well from each.
LOL. I share your cough, but hopefully that means printing under VPC would be simple (not that I've tried it yet - or do I even need to worry about that?).
Q. I've read some reviews which indicate the black on plain paper isn't so great. I'm talking about generic text only docs - letters, memos, etc. Comments? I *love* the idea of wireless. I've a tower and a powerbook via a Belkin.
It looks pretty good to me. I haven't poured over it with a magnifier but nothing jumps out at me.
