I recently did much the same thing... picked up a B&W 300, 320 ram, 6Gb, CD and zip) for like $150. Added an XLR8 G4-450 for $138, upped the ram to 1Gb and added a 60Gb drive for another $50 or so.

Not a world class machine, but he does everything I need and I love the B&W style. He'll be good enough till I win the lottery and pick up a dual CPU G5! ;->

I did drop a OWC G4/500 in for another $149, used 1Gb of older PC100 RAM I
had lying around, it's now runs well. Good enough for me at least.


Yes I am bound by the system bus and not having AGP is a bummer, but I think
the price vs. performance is excellent.
