So what's the deal on this Safari web browser from Apple? I'm thinking of moving from OS 9 to X, and X lets you use Safari, right? Do you just download it from Apple the same as you do Internet Explorer from MS, then make it your default browser, and away you go with it? Can it be as simple as that? Will it import IE's bookmarks etc?
I heard that Safari loads fast, squashes popup ads, organizes bookmarks really well, and does other convenient stuff. Sounds like it might be worth switching to (I'm using IE 5 right now). Thought I'd ask advice here though before I gave it a try. If Safari is as good as Apple makes it out to be, why would anyone using OS X use any other browser?
