I'm sorry,
I was in such a hurry to thank you I didn't pay enough attention to the whole email.
<blush>
I could not install 9 on the X partition.
It said I could not install 9 over the X partition.
The 9 CD would let me erase, partition, or just put 9 on the second partition.

This time,
I will try putting 9 on the first partition and X on the second.
After that, do you recommend me 9 on top of X?

Thanks!
Kim

Is this to say that now you have an install of 9 on the X partition? If OS 9 is still on the second partition, classic will work but it won't boot to 9 until 9 is put on same partition as X.
