I am surprised that LaserWriter 16/600 PS has not been mentioned so
far in this thread.  It is the last and the best of the Apple
LaserWriters, with LocalTalk, Ethernet and Parallel ports.  I am using
one with several networked Macs running OS 10.3.5, as well as Windows
desktops and laptops.  Quite a fast and reliable workhorse.
