Kyle,
First, thanks for all you do as List Mom to keep this terrific tool at our disposal.
Second, you say <G-List exists as a forum for users of Power Mac G3, G4, and G4 Cube computers.> BUT then say <It is the G-List. All G series processors are fine.>
When I earlier saw the first description, I looked for a G5 list when I got my new Dual2 G5, and found one (http://listserver.themacintoshguy.com/mailman/listinfo/g5) but, at least so far, it has not been as helpful or interesting, overall, as this list.
Suggestion 1: amend the boilerplate description to include all "G series processors."
Dan makes a good point about educating members of the list, and i have learned a great deal from this and other lists, since my first Mac in 1984. However, I am an enthusiastic Mac user, not a power user, and frankly have no interest in Linux or in 7 or 8 different e-mail clients, so I just scroll past those parts, quietly cussing the long attachments.
Suggestion 2: in the Digest, number the postings to correspond with the listing at the beginning. Then I could "Find" and jump to item #33 if the subject looked more interesting to me than everything before it.
FWIW,
Steve in Raleigh
