> I don't understand all of this talk about PCs being better. No one system is really better I feel as far as hardware, Mac users always say Macs out live the pc, I dont find this to be true. And the Pc is defiantly not better. The real complaint should be to apple for incorrect marketing. There platform should have been number one since they are more stable and in most cases faster. The reason I have seen the Mac not being number one is there price, and there cheaper more affordable system are not as powerful as a full pc costing the same price. Apple tries to have there system do everything in software when it just slows the system down more, pc system do more in hardware processing that speeds them up. My Sound car for example can process mp3 play back from the sound card freeing the processor. And there is more to it, apple needs to take more advantage of hardware processing with the use of PCI card for processing for the cards that use it, but there is much of such stuff in the Mac world. > Yes, there are apps that only work on the Window's format because the market > is larger for sales (because a PC box is cheaper), but Virtual PC works > allows those Window apps to work on a Mac if you need them. > > On the other hand, there are apps made only for Macs that are far superior, > like 'ActionItems'. I too discovered this flaw in the Mac os, but this same flaw exists in windows too. So anyone's best bet is to store your files on a second drive! in X and XP you can ever move your home folder to a second drive and have the os point to it, thats what I did with my Mac, and windows makes it a little more complicated but I am trying to do it to that system too. -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
