I'm not talking about fiction programs, I'm talking about the US cable programs "American Justice" and "Cold Case Files" where they interview actual policemen and specialists about true cases. Often they will interview people in their offices (not on sets) -- this is where you see the G5s.

I've also noticed, in watching those crime shows on cable, that no small number of these forensics labs doing DNA testing, clearly show G5s sitting on desks in the background.

TV programs with business offices usually seem to have Macs on the desks, with the Apple symbol clearly visible.

Doh!

Ever heard of product placement ?!

They used a PowerBook G3 in Independence day (ID4) to speak to
the the aliens, but not even NASA has many Macs in real life.

In one of the Arnie movies where he was some sort of spy he broke
into a mansion where they were having a party. The startup sound
was a Mac boing but the desktop was Windoze.

In X-files they've used Macs but the desktop has been DOS.

Chandler in Friends had a speach all typed up but it completely
vanished when Joey pressed ONE button.

So films/TV-series don't prove anything.

Also:

I see no Macs in motor racing when the download/upload/programing
is done on the racing software for the engines.

I see no Macs in *serious* 3D CAD industry (SolidWorks, AutoCAD,
UniGraphics etc.), ArchiCAD is amateur in comparison.

?!?
