What is the problem? Do I need a B&W-specific install CD? Do I need a
B&W-specific 300 MHz or better cpu (though Apple System Profiler shows the
266 to be running at an overclocked 300)? Or am I missing something quite
simple? This is my first experience with a B&W machine, and I'm baffled.
Yes, it will show 300 MHz, because, if no one has tampered with them, that's what the jumpers were originally set for. The processor may or may not be able to handle this.
What system bus speed does it show 66 MHz, 100 MHz, or something else? Do you know if it had the original 300 MHz processor, or had been upgraded? How much memory, and what kind did you put in it, and what video card did you put in it?
Any of these you can answer will be helpful points for diagnosis.
