I use DSL myself--part of a package with my business phone.  I've got 2 
relatives that I helped set up with "themacisp.com".  I recommend that 
especially for older macs.   If you're using X, support isn't much of 
an issue anywhere, I think.

My girlfriend has an iMac with os9 and uses earthlink.  She likes their 
support (pretty mac-friendly), but I believe she's paying too much.

Just my 2 cents--for what it's worth.

My yearly bill is coming due for my browser and I 'm aware that some 
browsers cost about half of what I pay. Do the cheaper browser 
companies give you less service or is it just a competition thing?

. I do mean isp and I use dial-up. If it's proper to mention the name, 
I'll do it. It's Erols and I've used them for several years. They 
always bill me per year.
