Well, maybe focus on the fact that your machine is still worth a lot in terms of the work it will help you do (rather than on the intrinsic value). Dutch comfort, I know. @_@ > Sure I can sell the parts, but even those are going to be of value to > just the bigtime cheapskates, since anyone wanting these to upgrade > their existing Mac will look a LOT harder at just getting a new one. Were there even any *rumors* of this low-cost Mac floating around? While it's a boon for consumers, I wouldn't want to be anyone who's bought a new box recently. I picked up a G3 back in September and I still feel cheated. >:/ > Judging $200-$300 worth of upgrades vs a $1200 iMac is one thing; $200 > worth of upgrades vs. a $500 Mini is another thing entirely. I was actually getting ready to buy another G3 yesterday when I saw the list traffic. The box I was going to get was $180 (incl. shipping). Add another $259 for a 1GHz upgrade...and you have serious food for pause. While choice is always a good thing, I almost wish they *hadn't* come out with the Mac mini right now. <bites nails> Best, James Fraser -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
