I still run System 6 & 7 for grins, on my older systems

I was talking about OS 9, as I have my Mac 128K which will never be disgarded just because OS X is better, that's a different thing.

As a bridge between Ethernet and LocalTalk I have an SE/30
with a Farallon RJ45 card in it, if you're gonna do it you
may as well do it in style, eh ?!

Yeah, I have an SE/30 with an ethernet card too, and I used to run that as my bridge. The SE/30 has been retasked, though.

For the hobbyist, System 6-7 is VERY cool, but for serious work I totally agree about OS X vs OS 9. I'm an OS X-only guy, and as I said, I use it every day at work. Since we have moved our servers from OS 9 to OS X, we have seen our uptimes go from hours to days to weeks, which makes all of the DBAs and users happy.
