Thanks to all (to many to list them all) who replied to me "Linux on G3 Beige" post.
The Beige G3s that I have used seems to have issue with both OSX and modern Linux versions. I have tried Ubantu and Denibian. Neither worked. I have striped everything down to a stock machine except memory (because I wanted more then 32 megs of memory.) So memory incompatibility could be the issue here. I am told that some memory works fine with OS9 but not with X. Dose anyone know if Linux has the same issue with memory as OSX on Beige G3 macs? I am hesitant to buy newer memory to run Linux if that dose not fix the issue. Still looking for clues. Bob -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
