I just bought a Logitech USB Headset 250 at RadioShack, to work with
Skype on my Molar running 366MHz with maxed memory, Panther.
It worked yesterday. OK, not perfect, but it worked.
I turned on the computer today, and the headset doesn't show up under
Sound.
I have to reseat the USB headset AFTER startup each time, to get it to
show up on the system.
Very annoying.
Any ideas of how to get it to load up at normal startup, without
reseating the headset USB cables to the back o' the computer?
USB and beige problems. When I had my beige at home, the usb mouse
would do the same thing. For a week or so, I would have to unplug then
plug in the mouse after every startup to get it recognized. Then it
would work fine for a couple of weeks, then back to the plug and unplug
shuffle.
It got to the point where I bought a usb extension cable so I would not
have to reach around the back to plug and unplug. It did eventually
stop and eventually would show up everytime and I do not know why.
Just the fun of owning a beige (which I am typing this on at work).
