Red faced from both extensive testing at this late hour, and
embarrassment:

Complicating matters ... SWITCH has at least 2 methods of adding files
to its list for conversion.

By the Folder ... which causes Name Order to NOT be preserved.

By selecting all files within a Folder, and Dragging them to the
SWITCH window ... which preserves the Name Order (well, as long as you
select them within the Folder, in that order (Top to Bottom if listed
that way): yet another Option).

Since I assumed both were the same, and used one or the other
depending on prevailing mood ... results have been disconcerting.

Apologies for the rather detailed study in Time Stamps vrs Name Stamps.

I believe another solution is to use the highlight all files within a
Folder, in the Name Order, and Dragging them to SWITCHes conversion
program's window.

This seems to produce Date Stamped mp3 files, that match the original
Name Order file's ordering.
