Hi Bill,
No, I don't "hot-disconnect" the Ethernet (which would indicate some sort of
installation was engaged, which would then mean, if I read you correctly,
that the CD successfully mounted) - I put the CD in, wait ...for
nothing...then unplug the Ethernet cable, then wait for the CD to spin.
So odd... When I am extra-energetic, I'll install a newer drive in this
one's place to see if it is (gosh I hope) a drive-specific issue.
