Well, I'm paying for "Verizon DSL" at $21.99 per month, and it rates  
itself as:

Speed (Down/Up):
864 Kbits/sec by 160 Kbits/sec

Last Result (similar to mine above):
Download Speed: 737 kbps (92.1 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 132 kbps (16.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
