<So, G-Group: Why are you (still) PowerPC-based Mac users?>

Me personally?

1. I am NOT willing to GIVE UP enjoying retro gaming and using my beloved old programs, which I would have to do if I "upgraded" to Leopard, Snow Leopard and Macintels. None of the present state of the art will run Classic Mode, and I keep reading about how Sheep Shaver is unstable. I enjoy what I do, exactly the way I'm doing it, and I don't wanna stop yet.

2. Brand new Macs are too rich for my blood. I don't have that kind of money lying around just to buy new crap which won't even RUN my beloved old stuff. Now, MAYBE in a few years I'll be looking to do new stuff and the prices will come down to my level, so I'll change my mind about Macintels, Leopard and Snow Leopard, but of course, by the time I'm ready to buy them, they won't be state of the art anymore anyway.

Y'know, some of us are just perpetually on the Trailing Edge instead of the Cutting Edge of technology, and we even prefer it this way!
