ps - my B&W laser printer is a 1200dpi Xante Accel-a-writer that I
got for free in 2000. It cost $5000 in 1995. It is now 15 years old,
and I just put a roller kit in it a few months ago.
It's slow as molasses but it prints beautifully.
I understand SL will break it so if I do upgrade the MB to SL I have
to keep the G4. While lasers have gotten cheap enough to be
consumables, the 1200 dpi ones have not.
And my color lasers are just too expensive to even turn on unless I
have a color job to do.
