Yeah Yersinia, That says it!

I'm certainly on the trailing edge but that does not mean the two G4's (a 450
MHz Sawtooth and a 733 MHz DA) I use for business cant' handle my needs.

This is a long thread. I think Bruce said (to paraphrase) "if it ain't broke
don't fix it"; so true.

And Mel  said;
"If you needed a car just to use for grocery shopping and your choiice
was a new Mercedes for out-of-your-pocket $50,000.00 or a 1950 Ford
running almost like new for about out-of-pocket $100.00"

Actually I prefer the 1949 Ford and wish I could find one (' a 49 or '50)
running reliably for $100. But Mel's point is well taken.

I also have a IIci (OS 7.5.5) I use as an employee time clock and a PM 7100
that uses FileMaker Pro (OS 8.1) as the main database for the business. In this
this unsettled economy why buy something you don't need.

OTOH, if you NEED the Intel Mac for sheer power or essential software that
won't run on PPC, then you have fewer options. --glen
