I have a used G4 Quicksilver w/1.25 GB RAM that I love and well it

don't have a copy of 10.5 , but I do have the Original OS 10.2 disk
that came with the Quicksilver, A copy of 10.4 from my old "Lampshade"

anyone had any suggestions in terms of what I would get the best
performance out of my hardware.

Stick with OS-X. Buy whatever copy you need to put on your Mac. I would not have said this 5 years ago. OS-X is what happens when you pay the programmers. Linux is what happens when you talk them into volunteering. Peace, Dennis in Victoria
