If you have used Linux and are comfortable with it, then it's a good
choice.  However, mainstream PPC support is falling off.  BSD's are a
pain to work with since  they are so stripped down.

I have Tiger on my iBook so it's still a viable system.  I have Linux
on my Thinkpads.....
